Local Church Ministry Opportunities
Hiss Church counts on many dedicated disciples who serve the Lord without personal financial benefit to help us on our journey to love God and love all. There are many opportunities to serve God through our church:
- Church leadership on a committee such as church council, trustees, finance, evangelism and communications, or worship
- Teaching or assisting in a Sunday School class
- Singing in a choir or playing handbells
- Serving as an usher
- Being a lay reader at one of the worship services
- Volunteering on a mission trip
- Working at a fund raising dinner or similar event
- Serving on the technical worship team, working with sound, video, and computers
- Bringing in canned goods and non-perishables to help feed the needy in our area
- Cleaning up the church grounds on a work day
